Do you live in Suffolk and would like to learn more about climate change and its impact?
Understanding climate change and how we, as individuals, can drive the change toward a low carbon society is more important than ever before. This course aims to introduce learners to the carbon impacts of their everyday activities and empower them to make more informed choices. The training will also help learners identify key opportunities to reduce carbon emissions in their community.
The course is built on the principles of the Carbon Literacy Movement which provides climate change training across the world and has been specifically adapted to highlight Suffolk’s special qualities. In addition to introducing learners to the fundamental factors driving climate change it will look to highlight opportunities for participants to get actively involved in their community.
Upon successful completion of the course, you will be awarded a Carbon Literacy certificate by the Carbon Literacy Project to reference your achievement. The course will run online over two sessions:
Tuesday 22 February 2022, 10am-1pm
Tuesday 01 March 2022, 10am-1pm
You must attend both sessions in order to complete the course and receive your certificate.
This course is being delivered through Groundwork East and is funded by the Suffolk Climate Change Partnership (SCCP). More information on SCCP can be found here.
The EVROS COP26
The #EVROS an epic 1200 mile EV drive around Scotland as part of #COP26 organised by @GREENFLEET events.
Day 4 & 5 are captured below , I have only shown these days because they were the 2 days that I joined this epic adventure around Scotland, there is much more to be seen and heard about this challenge by following #EVROS Greenfleet
Thank you @Sara Sloman and @Sam Clarke for making the best videos that really captured the adventure and team work as we test the vehicles and charging infrastructure to the full.
I feel extremely privileged to have been able to take part and to have met wonderful EV people along the way. Spending time with the fabulous Sara Sloman as my co-driver in the very smooth and comfortable EV6 was the absolute best.
Teamwork was at it’s best as we shared charge units and news updates along the way,
